Procedure Environment

Your surgery will be performed at the state licensed and certified Scottsdale Cosmetic Surgery Center, in Paradise Valley, Arizona.  This surgical center is located on the same campus as Dr. Beals’ office. Here, he is able to provide top medical care in a private and comfortable setting. If desired, overnight stays can be arranged in our adjacent state licensed Scottsdale Surgical Recovery Center where our nurse and staff can keep you comfortable and pampered while you heal.

Insurance Coverage

Cosmetic surgery is not usually covered by health insurance because it is elective.  However, there are a number of “gray areas” in coverage for reconstructive plastic surgery that sometimes requires special consideration by an insurance carrier. For example, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is a procedure normally performed to achieve cosmetic improvement. However, if the eyelids are drooping severely and obscuring a patient’s vision, it may be covered by their insurance.  Each policy is different and we recommend speaking with your insurance provider to determine your level of coverage.
